@dirtydeeds82 I'm not surprised, I was out and about during that time so didn't watch much telly but watching the ad in full just now was pretty chilling. Was there a time it wasn't allowed to be shown before or was it on any time of day?

THe reason why the government acted quickly on this was the fact that there was an alarming amount of IV drug users with the virus. Most of the users were straight. They had to act otherwise the virus would have spread like wildfire, as this is a virus spread by having sex. (yes, even IV drug users had sex.) Please, it is 2008, I simply do not buy that it is a GAY virus, AIDS does not discriminate, only people do. Educate yourself before you post this sort of bigoted garbage.
