I have this single in a box under the stairs with all of my other records. My daughter said to me 'what's a record'???????!!!!!!!

Hahahaha..... I had that happen a few years back with my youngest son. I thought it was about time my singles stopped living their life tucked away in a box, up in the loft. As I was sorting through them my youngest came into the room to see what I was doing. On seeing me with a handful singles he said; " Dad, they are funny looking CD's'. :-)

If I had written this, and released it, and it it hadn't made the charts, I would have gone mad with frustration. I don't how the Starjets stood it. But I guess the image shown says it all. A great single.

It must be heartbreaking to write a killer song such as this only to see it fail. I chose the image for that very reason :-)

I was baffled at the time, thought it had all the right ingredients to be a big hit - shame.

Bloody Hell! I remember this song being on the "Queens Vaults" jukebox (Exeter) in 1980. I used to love it. I've been looking for this on file sharing sites (Kazaa, Limewire etc.) without success until now. Thanks for posting.

My dad was a member of this band and it warms my heart to see all the fantastic comments! Thanks. My favourite is probably 'War stories'. Marc.

Top notch - first time I saw them was supporting The Undertones at The Ulster Hall. So many memories...

When peelie was alive he played this for the boys in Blur.
General feeling was it can be a mistake to go back to a song you haven't for heard twenty years. I agree about this one but most of the starjets remains good.
