The hobby shop in my town is going out of business. Most things were 60% off. So I bought some stuff I needed. Mainly scenery stuff from Woodland Scenics. I'll probably go back in a day or so and do the same thing over.

  • how much was all that, just think how much they would of all come too if there wasnt that discount :P.... hope you had/have great time building with the WS products i know i do :)...

  • @MsFreighttrain I think the total after tax was only about $125. If there wasnt a discount it probably would of been around $500-$600. Thanks for the comment!

  • Do other engines like Bachmann or Hornby run on Lionel track?

And do Lionel engines work on other track?

  • @super58173 I'm not sure, but I'd assume it would if the scale of the trains and track are the same. I dont have a lot of Lionel stuff. I have a vintage Lionel Engine from the 50's & some rolling stock but I dont have any track or a power pack for it

  • yo for the rock molds if you dont want to use the woodland scenics hydrocal can you use a regular house filler or is it best to stick to plaster of paris? (to prevent any damage to the rubber in the molds?)

  • I always use the Woodland Scenics Lightweight Hydrocal or buy the 25 pound bag of Plaster of Paris at Home Depot, Lowes etc. I've tried others but the detail dosent show up as good and I get a lot of cracks. I mean it will work, but you just have to touch it up a few times, like Drywall mud. They havent damaged my molds yet either.

  • I did the same thing several months back at a mom & pop train shop that closed its doors. He had different percentages off depending on what the items were that ranged from 40% to 80% savings. He claimed the 80% off was like getting his actual cost? When all was said & done, the actual sticker prices came to $1,347.19 and with all the discounts, the total I paid was $327.80 out the door! It completely blew me away and I still have better than 50% of it still in the unopened boxes untouched!

  • @MrSaturdayNight7 You are the luckiest son of a gun gettin all that for so cheap. My hobbyshop went out of business about a year ago and im gettin in the hobby, what do you prefer as a website to get the scenery stuff for cheap. Nice Vid, Plz Reply

  • @MrSaturdayNight7 you got a real good bargain :D
