Madison Square gardens
New York
June 8th 1977

The Song Remains The Same,
(The Rover intro) Sick Again,
Nobody's Fault But Mine,
In My Time of Dying,
Since I've Been Loving You,
No Quarter,
Ten Years Gone,
Battle of Evermore,
Going to California,
Black Country Woman,
Bron-Y-Aur Stomp,
White Summer ~ Black Mountainside,
Kashmir, (Out On the Tiles intro) Moby Dick,
Jimmy Page solo,
Achilles Last Stand,
Stairway to Heaven,
Whole Lotta Love ~ Rock and Roll.

Quite a mixed performance. It is just about possible to say Kashmir is a good version and Plant is in good voice on The Battle Of Evermore. The audience are loud and let off firecrackers periodically and are not very impressed by an uninspired Moby Dick.

I was very fortunate to get 2 sets of tickets for two of the six shows scheduled at Madison Square Garden, and even luckier it was the first and last nights (I still have my tisket stubs, program and t-shirt in a box in the attic). Tickets sales were by mail at the time due to the stampede incident from a Who concert earlier in the year but at the prime age if 16 and this being only my 10th concert ever at that time, I look back to say how lucky I really was. The set list was identical for the two show and I don't remember any warm up band. But it was an awesome experience and i re-live the moment every time I watch "The Song Remains The Same" or if I play one of my bootleg CD's from the 1977 tour. I will buy this new 2-DVD set of the 1973 tour and look forward to a 2008 reunion tour. And I didn't think anything could be better than the Crean reunion from two years ago. Led Zeppelin live is like no other concert experience; incredibly raw and loud with no technical over dub shit. Do try to experience history if you can.

i had gotten my moneyorder back in the mail weeks before and went ballistc...damn no tix at 14yrsold zep were my gods. opening night on 6/7 iwas going out of my mind...notix,no cash when i got home that nite my older sis had3 extras for the next nite . 20bucks each. i called 2 of my boys and said i could them tix for 30 apiece .... they were all over it ..less then 24 hrs later we were standing on the side of the stage ...rock shows were never the same
