  • How the fuck can people say Emmit Smith was better than Sanders.

The rule for RBs is: "you're only as good as your O-line"

Smith has the most DOMINANT line of the decade. Larry Allen, Erik Williams, Mark Stepnoski - are you fucking kidding me??? A cow could have rushed for a 1,000 yards with that line.

Barry is the exception to that rule because he could make plays on his own.

I'm not saying Emmit was a bad player, but comparing him to Barry means you're stupid...or you're a Cowboys fan.

  • I'm only 20. So I didn't really see Emmit or Barry in their prime (I don't recall seeing Barry at all). Both are obviously great. They had long NFL careers. But based off of the stats and those FUCKING HIGHLIGHTS...Barry was unparralleled.

  • Walter, Jim, and Barry take your pick in my opinion.

  • If there was a better pure runner of all time than Barry Sanders, that would be Jim Brown. As far as a player in the position of running back, meaning playing all aspects of running back, including pass receiving, blocking, Emmitt was better at that. The only player better than Emmitt in that aspect was Sweetness- Walter Payton.

  • @themetalgod21 HOW'S THE WEATHER IN DALLAS THESE DAYS? YOU TRULY HAVE A LITTLE "brain" WHEN IT COMES TO FOOTBALL'S GREAT PLAYERS.

  • @comedyisgreat24 I'm 39. Barry was great, but Sweetness was the best of all time. HE was the best all-round football player of all time.

  • @ElCuloChulo now if barry had emmitts o-line, well lets just say untouchable record right there like 30,000 yards lmao

  • @themetalgod21 Actually yeah, you kinda notice that he never really scored from up close, it was always some really long, elusive run that just happened to end in a touchdown, but he was never a goal line guy... But still, Emmit Smith wasn't as good as he was. Switch them up and you probably get Barry breaking that record in the same amount of time he played.

  • Ok... I'm just 22 and never really watched Sanders in his prime and all I saw of Emmit Smith was a run down old man almost crawling as an Arizona Cardinal to the rushing record... That said, after watching some highlights, the other good short and sturdy running backs (Ray Rice and MJD) just don't do it for me anymore, you know?

  • Barry Sanders....the best RB ever to play the game. the best player on the lions besides Barry was Herman Moore. Thats about it. Cowboys Troy Aikman, The Whole offense line, Michael Irvin, Alvin Harper, Emmit, Daryl Johnston, Jay Novecek. Regardless of negative yards. emmit by far had the advantage. Barry literally had to run for his life to get a couple yards. is there really a comparison here?

  • look at replays of Barrys runs as soon as he gets handed the ball there is someone in his face. As for Emmit he had big enough holes to drive a truck through. Both are great players but Barry MADE things happen
