The International Space Station (ISS) is the largest international cooperative project in engineering and science of all times, achieved by the US, Russia, Europe, Canada and Japan.
Most people are aware of its presence up there in space but only a few can recall concrete examples of how this research laboratory benefits humankind.
This ESA video illustrates the domains in which the ISS is broadening human knowledge and fostering economic growth: as a unique example of global peaceful cooperation; a laboratory for fundamental and applied research; a driver for technological innovation; a unique platform for inspiring new generations ; a way to prepare for future human exploration destinations; and a privileged outpost to observe the Earth.

Whom with more than half a functional brain needs to be *convinced* that the ISS is so far the farthest in humanity's achievements and that we still need to be convinced that we should be immensely proud of it?!
Excellent inspirational and awe inspiring space visuals BTW, but I couldn't ever care less in the slightest about the "human side" you tried to peddle to do an appeals to emotions low level fallacy though, but awesome overall nonetheless.
