Point, Learn, and Explore.

With a location and directionally aware device, Intelligent Spatial Technologies (iST) will change the way consumers interact within their mobile environment by allowing the user to ask, "What's that?" the way they naturally do, by pointing.

The cellular users' selects a Point of Interest, points their phone, pushes a button and information is delivered in all the rich content forms available, whether it be text, voice, pictures, or video. No more receiving generic, unsolicited information or scrolling down lists of irrelevant data. iST uses its patented technology to select the most likely object of interest from all the objects around the user.

Advertisers are given a warm lead, without pushing spam that irritate potential consumers. The iPointer enables advertisers to include more rich content to entice consumers.

Location and direction aware devices also allow pedestrian navigation devices to "lead the user by the hand" to their location of interest. No more directions to the middle of the street where the address they are looking for is either on the left or the right. Navigation information is delivered to the users in a fashion that is easiest for them to use. It is automatically oriented to them. No more trying to orient the map to the direction they are facing. Instructions are tailored to match the direction the user is facing.

The iPointer system is comprised of global positioning system (GPS) and Digital Compass integrated into a cell phone (or other mobile device), a wireless network, and iST's geospatial database. This allows users to move at their own pace, pointing and learning at will. When users point their mobile device at a landmark iST's geospatial database's selection algorithms identify the selected landmark and send information back over the wireless network to the user's device.
