We have to give praise to these brave patriots who serve in the CIA. The whole purpose of this system is to make the world safe for Americans. The people who help out in other countries are heroes too. They have to deal with these criminals and get information from them. They deserve the Medal of Honor.

You are an ignorant fool, you missed the entire point of the film. Torture and holding people with out trial goes against EVERYTHING this country stands for. What if someone plants evidence on you or makes you look like a terrorist and you were tortured until you confessed, even though your actually innocent.

egkg. You are incorrect. Most people in the US would agree with the process of rendition. It is targeted at criminals. The process is great as it means that the torture is done offshore and the US people are innocent. It has to be far better than the processes of the past like forebombing and nuking whole cities. After 9/11, many Amercians advocated the anhilation of China and Russia. I did read the comments of blogs and still have them. The CIA are brave and restrained.

No. I think you are the kid. What is more horrible - 140,000 people being wiped out by Curtis Le May, or one person being tortured. All this film does is show that you have rights if you have a pretty American wife. The Japanese didn't have that privilege. Quite frankly your small mindedness annoys me. I think this is a non issue. I consider matters like the 1918 flu pandemic and the deaths of 25 million Chinese in WW2 to be of more importance. People like you are far too pampered.

No, lets torture whoever we want in the hopes that the person at that time is guilty, if you believe trampling on the constitution is what is America is all about then you are NOT an American. I'd rather thousands of people die then ONE innocent persons rights be denied, or one innocent person be tortured.

egkg. It has nothing to do with being an American. It is a disagreement between you and me. As Stalin said, one person being killed is a tragedy. A million being killed is a statistic. That was the point of the film. It showed that there are still heroines in Washington like the Senator portrayed by Meryl Streep. They see the big picture and is why the run things and we don't. The CIA also recruits the bravest and the best. It takes guts to torture others.
