Jim Hession/In Studio/I Wish/Stevie Wonder

In the funk/jazz and rock groove Stevie Wonder has been one of Jim's favorite composer/performers. Early on,Jim first saw "Little Stevie Wonder" playing harmonica at age 12 on American Bandstand. Jim at that point was in his early teens and was playing ragtime and early jazz. A few years later Jim and Martha were watching Sesame Street with their first daughter Erin. Stevie came on and did "Superstition" with the Muppets.The groove was incredible. We were permanent WONDER fans. The Groove is there. Pathos, joy, power, energy....it all adds up to Jazzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz!!!!!!

It's true you have some skills, but don't combine this with I Wish. I Wish shouldn't be played on a piano, but a chiffer lead or a electric piano and play it with F#sus4 and F#m in your right hand. Fantastic skills but bad combination. Don't ruin Stevie's syntunivers

I appreciate your observation and see from YouTube listing that you are singularly devoted to Stevie Wonder's music. Stevie is one of my all time favorites, in particular because he writes quality material that can be interpreted by other artists. That to me is the mark of a great songwriter/performer. I would enjoy seeing some of your work as well. I prefer not to copy but to interpret others' material in an acoustic jazz style.
