A4 B5 Tacho display fixed - 8D0919880N

Hi there, I just have fixed my collegue's tacho from A4 B5... it was very hard to read, now it is like new. I recorded this video because it is just funny the way that icons are animated, just to share in the local forums... Anyway, maybe there will be a new mod for my passat in the near future, since the display controller, behind the display, looks pretty much the same... I think that it has pre-stored messages and icons... or maybe the animation is a feature that can be enabled by playing with the eprom bits... who knows

What year is this tacho ??? Is it from B5 facelift or before facelift ??

hi there, excuse me my FIS display doesn't work well, because it has black lines over the display, so please tell me if you buy a new one or you just fix it... and most important, how did you do that....?
