Alistair Hulett performs a brand new and as yet unrecorded song, called Ethel On The Airwaves, about Ethel McDonald, The Bellshill Anarchist.

This young Scots anarchist volunteer became the radio voice of international news broadcasts from Revolutionary Spain in 1936 and '37, on behalf of the POUM, and spent several years in jail for her courageous anti- fascist work.

  • Cheers, Paul. The guitar is a custom built instrument by Coventry (England) maker Rob Armstrong. I understand the extension of the fingerboard is to connect it up with the body for enhanced resonance. Certainly does resonate very well to my ear.

  • Great song. Thanks to Paul for sending it.
