My Dying Bride - Your river (sub en español)

My Dying Bride is a British Doom metal band formed in 1990. My Dying Bride is one of the three bands responsible for the formation of death/doom metal, along with Anathema and Paradise Lost. To date, My Dying Bride has released one demo, three EPs, several singles, nine full-length studio albums, one box set, four compilation albums, one live album, one live CD/DVD release, and several video releases. The band is currently working on a tenth studio album which has a release date due for 2009, titled For Lies I Sire.

My Dying Bride se creó en junio de 1990,cuando el guitarrista Andrew Craighan dejó su banda anterior «Abiosis» para reunir a Aaron Stainthorpe (voz), Calvin Robertshaw (guitarra) y Rick Miah (bateria). Adrian Jackson (bajo) se uniria más tarde.

El nombre del grupo es un claro reflejo de la estética del mismo. El año de su formación, la banda tuvo que elegir nombre. Los integrantes dudaron entre My Dying Child o My Dying Bride. Finalmente optaron por My Dying Bride, nombre que evoca a la perfección la meláncolía y tenebrosidad del sonido y las letras de las canciones que ofrece el grupo. El nombre señala el sentimiento romántico de la belleza y el gusto por la muerte.
