The Marine Way of Speaking

National Speaker Ellie Lofaro asked me to do an introduction at a church in NY, after I did one at my church. Why? Because announcements are boring, unless they're give by a retired U.S. Marine Master Sergeant!

Some young devil dogs have complained that I'm not wearing a dress uniform. Young Marines, this is comedy, not ceremony. Additionally, I am retired so, unlike you Lance Corporals, I can wear any stinkin' thing I please! Urban cammie trousers are worn by Navy Discipline platoon instructors and Sheriff's Departments. This is not a Halloween costume, it is still a uniform. White T-shirts, well young pups, that what we wore with cammies when I came in, learn some of your Marine Corps history and respect those that have walked the path before you.

Other Marines (so far all below the rank of Sergeant, b/c Sergeants know better and pretty much run the world) have complained that I'm not cursing. Well, these are announcements at a Women's Conference at a CHURCH! When I came in the Corps we had a code and part of that code included No Cursing around women and children. I know that these days women and children curse like sailors, but that's not me nor how I came up in the Corps.

Lastly, Private's P.F.C.s and Lance Corporals have pointed out that I'm not using real Marine Corps terms they're familiar with, like "nasty". I have to reiterate; Women's Conference at a Church not introduction of the Corps to poolees. Also, again, terms change in 20+ years. Your Drill Instructor at Parris Island or San Diego most likely joined the Corps AFTER I retired in 2004. Get a grip, enjoy, the vid, keep your ignorance to yourself, but most importantly, agree with me or not SEMPR FI!

@TopAbbott oh i saw you uploaded this vid in 2007 i was thinking thats when you retired i got out in 2007 the changes im talking about i guess it just seems like such a long time ago i remember it all like it was yesterday but at the same time it feels like it was another life or something, going from an 18 year old high school grad. to what i am now looking back on it all i guess it just makes me pause and think sometimes

Well all I got to say is thank you for serving our country. Having the balls to be a Marine. And not taking the BS from these punk ass spoiled brats that have no respect for those with actual real world experience. Most of today's youth are worthless. The OCC Mikeys of the world.
