1997 Steve Grissom Flips @ Atlanta

Steve has this horrible crash during the 1997 PRIMESTAR 500 at Atlanta Motor Speedway.

@AngryGundamGamer Yeah that was the last race, if you look the new stands in the quad oval shape are partially built outside the fence on the backstretch

So my guess is is that this was the last race on the Old Atlanta Configuration.

@erasetoimprove The current configuration is ok, but i'm like you, i miss the Old layout, that layout seemed to enhance the side by side racing.

Larry Hedrick should have 2 very famously destroyed race cars in a museum somewhere. The other being Ricky Craven's destroyed Talladega car from 1996.
