Effortless steering, precise braking and satisfying short-throw shifting abound in this hot roadster.

  • @KiraStevens - Funny you came to this conclusion even though we were reviewing the Porsche, not our editor's cooking skills... we'll update you on those after our next office potluck.

  • Still waiting to see a driving impression. WTF!? It's over!

  • Why does Road and Track even bother? Worst "driving impression" ever.

  • @99MCougar hah exactly! I never really saw the point of the Boxster but I am guessing that Porsche would tell you that there is a really big point when you look at their balance sheet. If I was getting a Porsche I would only consider getting a 911, rather than anything else. But then at that price point I would probably be looking at lots of other makes too and would likely get something different completely. Cayman looks like a 911 and Boxster love-child. Again, you make great points anyway...

  • @goat6inboots I agree the GT3 vs Boxster is a bad comparison. I just don't see why Porsche would go to the extreme to make a super light weight boxster. I guess it's all personal preference like you were saying. I just just don't think it's a very good looking car which is my opinion, why is why I would spend my money on something else. I can see how you wouldn't like the Cayman either. It's like all their cars have that 911 type look to it, or they are all 911's with a different name lol.

  • @99MCougar fair point, I guess I was just being extreme, though I did want to make a point that the most people that can afford the Boxster cannot afford the GT3. Not really a fan of the looks of the Cayman even though I can see it's appeal. Neither am I that keen on the Z4. But none of that takes away from the fact that you make pretty valid points.

  • @goat6inboots Wow you take things extremely literally. How about this, if you really want a Porsche for 5k more you can buy a Cayman R that not only looks a million times better then the Boxster but it's faster as well. But if you want a a quick, fun convertible I would much rather spend my money on a BMW Z4, or hell even a Honda 2000. I believe both are faster then this thing but more importantly they look waaay better and you actually get door handles and other goodies.

  • @99MCougar do you think most people can save pennies (PENNIES) and eventually be in shock that their penny jar has enough in it to get a GT3 haha? How many pennies do YOU drop!?

  • oh fuck even a woman reviewing? really must be a girl (bitch) car. i like it tho but i feel a gay.

  • I didn't even hear the car ! :(

  • Nice footage guys, but it'd be nice if you offered something other than a read of the manufacturer spec sheet just like everyone else. I'd really rather just have some driving footage (and sound!) from the driver's perspective without the voice-over. Just put the specs on the screen at the end. By the way, I think when reading the word "pared" off the script, it should sound like "paired" not "pard."
