Personally I find Godin guitars great for metal, on the downside their passive pickups have HUGE output, and therefore results in a slightly muddy sound on the lower strings, however easy to achieve pinch harmonics as well.

Hey, thanks for the comment. The Godin Redline 2 I'm using actually has and EMG 81 at the bridge... :)
