While I was in Haiti, I got to see the most amazing thing. Years ago, the Florida Baptist Convention started a small church in Mirebalais, Haiti. That church has taken spreading the Gospel very seriously. They have started 35 other churches surrounding Mirebalais. Once a year all 36 churches come together for a celebra...tion. During that time, the choirs from all of the churches parade down the streets of Mirebalais singing praise songs to the Lord. While I was there in March, 2010, I was on a medical mission trip. Following a beautiful church service that I went to, I returned to my hotel room to rest. I began to hear beautiful songs outside my room. The following video is a bit of what I heard and saw. I videotaped 20 minutes of it, but this is about 6 minutes of it. It was amazing to see. Choir after choir kept coming. I don't know much Creole, but I can clearly hear Jesus, Savior, and Merci (Thank You). Isn't it amazing that two months after their horrific earthquake, our brothers and sisters in Christ are walking the streets of Haiti singing and worshiping our Lord, Jesus.

  • @marietwitch I haven't "bashed" anyone... the singing was beautiful I dont care if they are Baptist, Catholic, Lutheran, or whatever, my point is this, and I thought I was very clear about this, when Eddie called K-Love this morning, he stated that Christianity is rare and not well tolerated in Haiti. My response was to correct this incorrect statement. Haiti is 80% Catholic and 16% Protestant. That's 96% Christian in this country that Eddie, Pat Robertson, and others claim isn't Christian.

  • Very Beautiful!! And I don't think it is important What Religion you are or they are. The Point that is made is They Love Christ !! That is the most important . How do you think Christ feels you bashing him for saying they were baptist when you weren't out there singing praise to him ...God says the greatest of these is love so lets just love and be thankful for seeing such a beautiful thing..

  • @klemp55 Not at all judging... just correcting an incorrect statement made by the caller, not the radio staff. Haiti is a predominantly Christian country... it's not like it's Communist China down there. To say otherwise is to spread the same misinformation that Pat Robertson did.

  • My apologies, Eddie... I got the impression from your comments on the radio that you didn't know who the singers were... I just read what you posted on here that this was a group of Baptist Churches. The singing is beautiful.

  • @39Hogfan - It doesn't matter what denomination people are. If you love Jesus, that's the whole point. Nobody is debating on K-Love that you have to be a certain denomination to love Jesus.....your comment about what was said on K-Love is really unfounded. All the medical team member said was that they heard the name of Jesus and Hallelujah. Just love Jesus and quit judging the radio staff, unless you are without sin, then go ahead and toss your stone.....

  • YEAH, GOD!!!

  • Poussez des cris de joie vers l'Éternel, toute la terre!

    Servez l'Éternel avec joie, venez devant lui avec des chants de triomphe.

    Sachez que l'Éternel est Dieu. C'est lui qui nous a faits, et ce n'est pas nous; nous sommes son peuple, et le troupeau de sa pâture.

    Entrez dans ses portes avec des actions de grâces, dans ses parvis avec des louanges. Célébrez-le, bénissez son nom!

    Car l'Éternel est bon; sa bonté demeure à toujours, et sa fidélité de génération en génération. Psalms 100

  • "Praise God from whom all blessings flow;

    praise Him all creatures here below;

    praise Him above ye heavenly host;

    praise Father, Son, and Holy Ghost."

    Amen

  • This is wonderful but you said some things on the radio this morning that are simply not true... you said Christianity is not accepted but Haiti is a majority Christian country, with strong roots in Roman Catholicism. Around 80% of Haitians profess to be Catholics. Protestants make up about 16% of the population. It's about time some of you bible thumping Protestants smell the coffee and realize that you aren't the only ones who love Jesus! I'm sure these singers are Roman Catholic.

  • I thinking this is pretty amazing
