http://www.VincentWhoFilm.com : VINCENT WHO? explores the Vincent Chin case, which ignited the first Asian American civil rights movement.
In 1982, Vincent Chin was murdered in Detroit by two white autoworkers at the height of anti-Japanese sentiments. His killers, however, got off with a $3,000 fine and no jail time. Outraged by this injustice, Asian Americans around the country united for the first time to form a pan-Asian identity and civil rights movement.
This documentary features interviews with the key players at the time as well as a whole new generation of activists. VINCENT WHO? asks how far Asian Americans have come since the case and how far they have yet to go.
Declare it a mistrial because the Judge was bias.

If the justice system doesn't work for minorities just riot, simple as that.

@MechaRadio No, it doesn't prove that they're dumb either. That's the POINT of this trailer. Asian American issues get overshadowed constantly, so much so that young Asian Americans are ignorant to things that impact THEM directly. You're either a troll, or a really dense if you don't realize that.

So wake up, they wanted justice from the ridiculious sentence that Rob Ebens and his stepson Michael Nitz received. They could not change the State's sentence of $3000 and 5 yrs PROBATION for a premeditated murder so they tried to get any type of justice and the federal charge of Civil violation was charged. It was a civil violation by the State of MI and the Judge or should I say by the higher /greater power. That is what its all about. Discremination

Once you use racial epithet in a confrontation, it becomes race related and a possible civil violation. In this case, I don't think it was a civil violation but it was discremination by the judge and the State of MI in not getting the proper justice for Vincent because he was asian. If it was an asian or a black person who went out a hunted down a caucasian, the sentence would have been premediated and rec'd 15 -20 yrs if not life.

@fkrizzy2010 OK bud. I just watched "Who killed Vincent Chin?". Even Vincent Chin's buddy who was there said that he walked over to Ebens and shoved him. As for Ebens he seems like and ahole and I personaly think he should have done time for murder. However Chin isn't totaly without blame and I'm not convinced this was race related. Drunk people say all sorts of crap and can have violent tempers. I've seen it.

@fkrizzy2010 Whatever, I’m just telling you what I saw on the news at the time. As the story went Chin and friends were insulting some stripper that Ebens liked and then they started insulting each other back and forth. Then Chin hit Ebens and the fight stated. They were all thrown out and after that Ebebs and Nitz hunted down Chin and killed him. Maybe it happened that way, maybe it didn’t. It’s not worth my time to go research it.

@jabberwock11 Links to back up your lies?
The fact of matter is -- Vincent Chin was savagely beat and murdered by a bunch of sick and vile animals because of his race. These vile pigs should have been put in jail for the rest of their life. Instead, thanks to great racist America, these racist animals were set free.
Defending animals, I see...

@wazzy3007 I don't know since I wasn't there. I bet you weren't either. However physical scuffles don’t ensure. Someone starts them.
