Made this little video when I discovered a few easy to customize things in the WiiDesktopVR program from Johnny Lee.

  • Hey, Looks really cool. I have got the basic version working on my PC and even made a pair of IR glasses. I am struggling to change the target image to an alternative, how did you do this . I am also trying to replace the stadium image with another. I have tried simply replacing the image with a different in the source folder and renaming the file in the "WiiDesktopVR.cs" file. What am i missing? Cheers

  • I think I renamed the image file(of my christmas tree) to match the name of the original target picture. And rename the original to something else so they are not the same.

It might be necessary to use a picture with the same file extention, but I don't remember what that was (.jpeg or .gif maybe)

    anyways, goodluck making it work...

    cheers

  • I was going to do this and i know how but the last time i tried to install Blue Solis or whatever my comp got a BSOD. Are there any other drivers compatible?

  • it's supposed to work as long as you can get your wiimote connected. I only tried with blue soleil, so I don't know how well other methods work.

  • but i mut buy that or not?

  • yes, for free stuff you should use your brain :)

  • If your still looking for the answer:

just make a picture for the target and a background image, call the target image target.png and the background image stad_2.png, and then just replace them with the original images in the folder you downloaded.

  • can't connect*

  • turns out.. i found out a slight 'glitch' in which i connected and successfully ran glovepie applications but i still connect with Johnny Lee's application... ehh any other suggestions?

  • @Frogmjf:

I had the exact same problem. My solution: search google for blue soliel 5.0 (not 5.2)

  • oh... well i connected with the normal windows driver but it said that there was no WiiMote connected
