Significant rust is tackled with aluminum foil and water on the chrome and alloy parts. Rust in paint areas coated with stabilizer. Bearings cleaned and repacked (thanks to Matt at Carolina Bicycle Company for help with rear hub bearings). Fun to clean up, fun to ride, fun to make a movie!

  • very cool, made me smile BIG!

  • Am I familiar with that chainring! I converted a green 26" ladies Hawthorne internal hub 3-speed to a single speed, coaster brake (26 x 1.75 instead of 1 3/8") ala it's sister the Rollfast Aerolight, had the original seat reupholstered, added paperboys and a headlight and after a coat of Turtle Wax and reflectors on the seat plus a '41 Columbia split reflector replica and an amber jewel on the back of the the front fender OFF SHE WENT as a present to a well-deserving lady friend!

    It was fun!
