Interesting bit of confusion. Nilsson did this in 1969. In fact, he won a Grammy for Best Contemporary Male Vocal for "Everybody's Talkin'" that year. In 1970, this song wad used as the theme song for the movie "Midnight Cowboy" starring Jon Voight. This piece of music was recorded by Phil Specter. Specter was responsible for the development of "The Wall of Sound" used in L.A. studio recording sessions. The sessions always utilized the same group of musician known as "The Wrecking Crew", a name

Glen Campbell never recorded this song. You're confusing it with "Rhinestone Cowboy".

That's Harry Nilsson, Campbell made an album of that name but never sang the song.

This isn't Glen Campbell singing. Its Harry Nillson. Great song though.
