Something About Amelia (Excerpt 2)

This video contains part of a scene from the January 9, 1984 TV movie, "Something About Amelia," starring Roxana Zal, Glenn Close, and Missy Francis, with Jane Kaczmarek in a supporting role. In this scene, 13-year-old Amelia goes to a school dance, and her father takes her home. This movie is not available on home video or DVD, so I took a video of it with my digital camera as it played on my television, then retaped selected excerpts from the movie with my digital camera.

It's too bad you felt forced to watch a show... in class. We all have to watch videos we don't want to in school. I bet it affected people in class in ways you will never know. It's definitely NOT overacted. If anything it's ultra tame and underacted. Something tells me you have some kind of inner fight with it if you feel you must put it down.

I remember I was forced to watch it in my health class. It's nothing than an overacted soap opera. Amelia's mom really has a big mouth.

we should collectively request that this movie be released on DVD. Although I remember most of these MOVIES OF THE WEEK being "cheesy", this had a great message, and as a sexual violence educator, it would be great for students.
