I have Mals and do conformation, Obed, Agility, Rally and a few other things. In UKC they are considered the same Breed with different coat types. I've seen pure breed litters spring a long coated Mal (fondly called maliterv) when there aren't any long coats for many generations. The gene is there. It's entirely possible that this is a full blood Mal with a long coat. Regardless, it's nice to watch this cute vid of a BSD(UKC) and a Dob with full ears/tail. Thanks for sharing.

About a hundred years ago or so the belgian community were unable to decide which of their FOUR herding breeds should be their national breed of dog(groenedael, tervuren, malinois and laekenois), and so they made them all equal. However they dont have all the same characteristics. There's a reason Malinois is the who is used as a police dog and attack dog by the military. They have a lot more drive than the other three. Saying that they are the exact same breed is not right. Do some reading..
