Choti's owner did not explain why World vision chose this woman to help with a cow and training. There are lots of poor people. There are poor people who are not able to work. My relatives lived their lives in poverty. They were not laborers. They were educated people who had retired from Government service two or thirty years after British left India. They had no pensions. They did not have enough Provident Funds. They had to live on meager sums. The prices shot up. No body gave them a cow.

Hi @fakir0005. We definitely agree that there are many in the world struggling with poverty. There are an estimated 2 billion people living on less than $2 a day and World Vision is only able to help a fraction of them. It’s a huge problem and can be overwhelming, but we are working one person, one family and one community at a time. –Jonathan, WV staff
