In which Helenna talks about her Script Girl audition: http://www.scriptgirl.net , Dallas Travers' "one sheets": http://www.dallastravers.com , the awesomeness of Runyon Canyon, her submission to Bonnie Gillespie's "Somebody's Basement" featuring Lisa Jey Davis (publicist): http://www.jey-associates.com , Eugene Levy at the Actra Award of Excellence, and Slou, Foot and Doucha!
@striker290 honestly, I'm not really sure how effective it was. The meetings that I've gotten have been mostly through referrals. However, when I'm in the meetings people are impressed by the one sheet and I've been sending the most recent one I made to my target list of CDs etc... as well. Dallas is AWESOME! That's great you get her mailings. Let me know if there is anything else I can help you out with ;)

Hi Helenna, was wondering if you had any updates on how effective that one-sheet was? Getting ready to create one for agent submissions instead of the typical cover letter mailings. Any advice/input would be appreciated. I'm already on Dallas' mailing lists, and love the idea of a one-sheet, so looking forward to getting cracking!

yes, I like the word "boobalicious" as well, especially cuz I lack in "boobaliciousness." The one sheet is a dope marketing tool! And Dallas Travers is pretty freaking awesome for bringing it to the attention of actors. And...I as well am ridiculously excited about SFD, I'm not sure if anyone will actually be able to see it though....when I know more I'll share the info ;) xoxoxoxox Thank you for watching Eric!!!! xoxo

Good luck on the Script Girl situation. I love that you said "boobalicious."
Yes. I am also intrigued by the one-sheet mailing.
So excited about "Slou, Foot and Doucha"!

Basically, as Dallas says, the one sheet is an awesome marketing tool, like an ad, "designed to showcase career highlights, points of interests, or other must know information" etc... She advises to send it in a sleek envelope, I used regular ones cuz I'm broke. I made the one sheet in "Pages" from iworks. So, it's like sending a postcard but with way more information and it's different from what most actors are doing every day ;) xoxox

Hmm. The mailing surprises me... I'm curious to hear more about that.
