i dont have a pressure washer but could prob use a torch on the welded steal and a air compressure with pressure limit control valve.i too did learn somthing today . i got a mini quad converted 196 from 70cc.

Seeing that pressure washers were not intended to be operated in this manner, could the back pressure possibly be bad for the pump?

Hi, haven´t been here for a while. As for the pressure needed, i don´t exactly know, but i guess 100-120 Bar will do. The sheet metal is 1mm thick and intended for deep drawing. Less prone to cracking! A wise thing to add is a air bleeding screw, located as far away from the inlet as possible. This technique is quite simple and time effective and for the majority of us DIY´ers, i would say the accuracy is good enough.
