I sat under this guy about 5 years. Not once did he say this in class. However he is not a scholar he is a politician because so many people believe this lie. He must resign or he will take the Baptist down a dark road. He is so arrogant. Issue is the word DAY (YAOM) in Genesis the scholar interpret as a journey or period of time. He wants it to be 24 hours not necessary. If you disagree with him he want allow you on the campus SBTS DICTATORS all fall in time The issue is how much time

@fsmdidit Why? Almost all people reject evidence based understanding in some aspects of their lives. I think this guy is full of bs. I am am not sure how guys like this can live in States with extensive petroleum systems and think well the entire science that allows them to be found and produced is flawed. However the idea of a human utopia being prevented due to a 'dark age' is wrong.

Al Mohler is not a scientist. It takes a lot of arrogance for a theologian to sneer at thousands of scientists who devote their lives to the study of geology, biology, astronomy, genetics, etc.

This is why religion is so dangerous. It causes otherwise intelligent and reflective people to reject an evidence based understanding of reality because it doesn't fit with their mind enslaving belief system. Imagine where we would be now if we had all of these minds over the centuries working toward progress rather than wasting precious resources and focus on enforcing their beliefs on the world.

It's amazing how so many people want to seem smart and all they do is puppet things they were told in their high school or college biology class. This is not critical thinking and it does not show your intelligence off to call Mohler an idiot....or maybe it does.
