Hi,
now I bought this camera too.
But how are you doing this with the black borders?
My DeShaker doesn't do this! Also with 10x zoom...

Yes the qaulity is very good, But you can make your video in HD, This is how. You need at least a 2GB SD card and then on the REC mode, Press the Menu/set key and then at the top where it says PICTURE MODE click the right arrow and set it to (30Fps, 16:9H)

Why do you tell me? This clip HAS BEEN shot at 720p 30fps!

On my youtube it dosent have the HD tab, only a high qaulity viewing mode when my videos on youtube are HD with the same camera.

I think that's because youtube hasn't converted this clip yet.

How close can I take clear pictures with the TZ5?

maybe 1.5 meter.
in macro mode the TZ5 can take sharp pictures/clips under 10 cm I think.
