It's about all zombie-related games and videos. The beginning starts with something from Dawn of the Dead (movie) and the end says a quote from Resident Evil (movie, but there are video games about it). It's not about any particular game or movie, but about them all.

George Romero has admitted that he practically plagiarized Night of the Living Dead from Richard Matheson's "I Am Legend (the novel)" which came out in the early to mid 1950's. As far as the early roots of what we now think of as zombies, check out the wikipedia entry for "ghoul." It's not a perfect fit, but the ghoul concept was Romero's other early inspiration that went into the creatures in Night of the Living Dead.
