  • dang the rpm really goes up that high just to get to 60?

  • If you floor it - you can easily get to 60 under 2500 rpm just normal driving...

  • i face the same probs...but mine like..when i starting driving slowly...then when i give a high force on pedal..the rpm suddenly go up till 4500 rpm without the mileage up...pain.

  • That's odd... I have to put my foot at least halfway down to get 4500 rpm... you may want to get it looked at. My CVT was running a little funny a while ago so I took it to the dealership and they reset the computer and it started working better after that.

  • @iashakezula Beacause it has an infinite gear ratio

  • omgsean2 I HATE HYBRID CARS

  • @Brendon00000 like hybrid cars?

  • I work at nissan and drive automatic and cvt, aswell as 5 speed versas, I love the versa more than the altima, maxima, and sentra, I likedthe CVT most, smooth, reliable, fun

  • you took traction control off

    ?

  • Stupid CVT ruins this car. It looks slower than a model with the 4 spd auto too.

  • @lazybass It sounds like you might have the same problem I'm having. It's why they extended the warranty on the transmission. There's a known problem with the TCM (Transmission Computer Monitor) that's causing the spedometer to spontaneously drop and the RPMs to rev high. It usually resets itself after being turned off for a bit, but it's a problem nonetheless. Take it in, they'll fix it for you no problem (if it's still under warranty).
