my first introduction to landrover was in 1950,when I was walking along the muddy track with my mum to old Jindabyne township from our migrant camp on the banks of the snowy river down stream.a SMA.[snowy moutains authority] landrover driver gave us a lift into the township.I remember seeing yellow red and green knobs on the floor of this vehicle I was 7 years old... in the 70's I bought a short wheel base landrover.they had a fully sealed gearbox you could manually change gear in the water
