  • I've been reading Larry Mcmurtry since I was in high school (1960's) and James is a true son. His writing and music compares with the talent he inherted from Dad. Amazing . . .

  • The first few times I heard this song, I felt I had taken an unbelievable punch to the gut with tears rolling down my face for some untouchable deep reason which I still don't understand. This is the incredible power of great poets and songwriters. I have since seen him four times and listened to his work for 100s of hours and it still remains fresh and powerful. God blessed him with an incredible talent, but at least He gave us the ability to recognize and appreciate it!

  • I have to post on all his vid's cause James is the best of the best, I absolutely love him, need to go to Austin bad

  • Brilliant songwriter who rivals Springsteen in his storytelling abilities.

  • My all time favorite JM song ---- so much truth to it.

  • I love this song so much. It touches the core of my being. I don't understand how James McMurtry isn't more popular, but I guess that's how most things go. The people that really deserve respect don't always get it from everyone, but at least there are a few kindred spirits that catch his drift.

  • Great song!!!
