Extended Rear Facing (ERF) is the practice of installing (and using) a car seat that is facing the rear of your vehicle. It can help prevent serious injury to your child in the event of a collision, as it did for three young children in Houston Tx.
This video was created by Donna Eng, a NHSTA-certified Child Passenger Safety Technician and the inventor of the Car Seat Poncho. This video was created as a public service announcement to publicize the benefits of ERF. The Car Seat Poncho product was not used by the occupants of the vehicle, and there is no implied endorsement by any of the parties mentioned in this video.
