Sunday Morning at The Gwili 17/10/2010

On a beautiful Autumnal morning, I went down to the Gwili Railway to film the work being done to install new crossing gates at Bronwydd Arms, and the preparation of the line's Class 117 DMU, which had been called in at short notice to run the Sunday Service Timetable. We see the unit being started at Llwyfan Cerrig, and departing empty stock for Bronwydd. We the see it arriving at the Northern terminus of the line at Danycoed, and finally heading South through bridge 8 for Bronwydd Arms.

@iantrack I have uploaded a cab ride in the DMU but the driver, who's a close friend is camera shy...so it was removed....Bob

I have such a huge passion for 1st Generation DMU's,especially the classes 108 / 117.

I got to travel on this DMU during the 'Thomas' weekend earlier this year.

I intend to go to the Gwili again next year,and hopefully get to travel on this beautiful machine under it's own power.....hopefully!
