To some, but personally, not to me.
It's the fact that ZUN doesn't use ecchi to attract people that I respect him so much as a game creator.

I finally learned to play the lead part for this! It took a while, but I DID IT!

I've come to the conclusion that when it comes to Touhou, it is easily able to out-do just about everything in nearly every genre X_X...
and those it cannot out due, it's on par with!
seriously, I mean c'mon now
games-it's better then half the crap nowadays
manga-highly entertaining from all I've read
music-amazing music everytime, and fans love to remix it!
anime-if it were to ever get one, it'd be one of the best
artwork-This series shows you don't need ecchi to be amazing
