vanessa was dans ex-girlfriend, but she left to go live with her parents...and dan was heartbroken..until he met blair..but somehow blair reminds him a lot of vanessa ..then at a festival, he thinks he sees vanessa and it really is her...she sees him with blair and is crushed. dan goes after her leaving blair jealous and scared of what might happen to their relationship...but dan is still with blair but things arent the same with v around..so he decides to leave with v at the end to not hurt her but forgets about blair...tbc
