Happy Kitten, from Aug. '08 to Apr. '09.

Nicknames: Waddle Fluff (pronounced "Waddie Fwuff") and Pouffy (Toes).

Adopted From our local Animal Control Shelter. One of six stray/adopted cats and dogs.

UPDATE: Is Happy a Maine Coon cat? He's now 11 mos. old, and weighs a whopping 11 lbs!

Someone suggested this breed (mix) and, after a bit of research, I suspect they are correct. He's not a lap cat, but wants to be "around" people and other cats/dogs.

I'm only interested in case he shows, in the future, health problems related to this breed.

Oh, and his cry is So Very Quiet! Such a small cry for such a Big Kitten.

Also, yes, his 2 dog siblings, always kind and careful with him, are Pit Bull Dog mixes. They are delightful pets, and always adore kittens.

  • Reply to, "Is he still alive?" Why YES, and he's still very HAPPY! Favorite hobbies are sleeping, and sleeping. I wuvs my Happy Cat!

  • Thank you everyone for your kind comments!

Happy does not "chirp" as Maine Coons are said to do. I dunno why! His "talk," however, is very quiet, which is comical for such a huge cat.

He's living up to his name these days, being very Happy!

  • Hello my dear commenters! I'm Happy to report that Happy is still Very Happy, as rescue pets should be, as of Oct. 2010.

Happy is the most uncoordinated cat I've ever lived with (and I've lived with LOTS of rescue cats over the years.) He is NOT allowed outdoors, ever... he falls off every piece of FURniture in the house, and shows virtually NO desire to go anywhere outside, ever. This suits me just fine!

He is well and, well, Happy, as of Oct. 2010, in case anyone has been wondering.

  • Happy is such a lovely boy! Actually, after having cats all my life & making it my biz to study them intently (behaviourly, of course), & as a vet assistant, i'd hazard to say that he's more an Angora mix than a Maine Coon. A nice bunch of fur-children you have there, elsbett! :)

  • @scruffylittlecat Oh, an Angora! I was thinking more Siberian. He just doesn't have the Maine Coon body type, I think now. It doesn't really matter, but I think it's fun to research my mixy pets. Happy is HUGE now! A beautiful, lovey guy, always very calm.

  • Darn, what was I saying? YouTube hasn't posted my previous comment! At any rate, Happy has the rounded (NOT rectangular) body type, and small ears of the Siberian cat. He also never "chirps," as Maine Coons are known to do, but meows Very, Very, Quietly. He also purrs very quietly.

I'd post more vids of Hapster Snuggle-Fluff, but my camera is broken, and my back-up camera is, well, horrid!

Thank you for all of your kind comments: Happy is waving back to you, all Happy!
