On the 50th Anniversary of the Tibetan Uprising against the Chinese occupation forces & the flight to India of the 14th Dalai Lama, Tibetans & their world-wide supporters gathered to protest the illegal occupation of Tibet by the Communist rulers from Mao Say Dung to Who Jin Tao. In San Francisco, at the end of the protest march The Dharma Bums of Woodstock NY perform their Himalayan Hit, "Winds of Karma." This smaller version of the Dharma Bums (or "Bums Lite") was composed of singer-songwriter Phil Void on vocals & guitar (http://www.dharmabums.org/) , Mark Dan on back-up vocals & guitar, Sunny Sun-Downer (of the Grateful Buddhists of America) on percussion & back-up vocals, & a cast of thousands of Tibet-supporters on back-up vocals at Union Plaza in San Francisco CA USA, March 10, 2009 (gregorian calendar). On the same day, The Dharma Bums' song "Rangzen- Freedom for the Land of Snows," was broadcast on stations world-wide and the movie "The Yeti" with this song featured on the soundtrack, was released.
