@lesdoyle2000 I fought in Iraq in 2004. I was nowhere near the incident in Kandahar, but I CAN relate to their reaction in that when you might be killed any second, you are, among many other things, terrified. It's the will and courage, and knowing your brothers are with you, that make you go forward and engage the enemy. Civilians get killed. They always have in every war ever fought. It's unfortunate. War is shit all around. You can't have a "clean" war. Just reality.

This is Army. I was in Iraq in 2004, these guys are wearing the same we had, then. Not to mention Marines don't have Cav. They don't have Bradleys.

The Mỹ Lai Massacre was the mass murder conducted by the US Army on 3/16/68 when 347–504 unarmed civilians in Vietnam, the majority of whom were women, children, babies & the elderly. They were, beaten, tortured & mutilated. The massacre took place in the hamlet of Mỹ Lai. While 26 U.S. soldiers were charged for their crimes at Mỹ Lai , only William Calley was convicted. He served only three years of an original life-sentence under house-arrest.
