HIGHEST TEMPERATURE RECORDED (U.K.) in DECEMBER WAS IN 1896!!

60 degF (converts to 15.6 degC) at Leith, nr. Edinburgh, Scotland on 25th Dec 1896 and the same value at Killerton, Devon in 1920. Thought I'd mention it before the AGW brigade claim that the current mild December is caused by you know what!

@chipleeiii : I am not "suggesting" that not less than 5 independent organizations took part in the whitewash. I am saying it and everybody could see it! They were formed and headed by notorious warmists, (one had to excuse himself because his nomimation was too gross) and sceptics were not invited and not permited to intervene! You can decieve yourself as you please, but the old and almost reliable "peer review" process has been converted into "PAL REVIEW". Hockey Stick an example.

@chipleeiii The Muller study has major flaws and is unlikely to be published without major revisions. But he already ran to the press and the cheerleaders will continue to believe that he debunked Climategate, even though the controversy isn't whether the globe is warming (by some definition of global temperature). Please, keep throwing strawmen so I can burn them for warmth.

@sparkloweb It's not like that. It's just honest explanations that make sense if you read them. If you're actually interested in seeing what I mean, go to realclimate dott org, scroll down to the "two year old turkey" article and open the comments that have been left on that article. Read comment #79. It's from Peter Thorne of the UK Meterology Office regarding one of his emails that was written in 2005/06, taken out of context and passed off as having been written in 2011.

@Achuara In general, when you find yourself claiming there's been a massive conspiracy, or a "fantastic whitewash", you should probably worry about the tenability of your stance. You've suggested that no less than 5 independent organizations are all "in on" a massive effort to deceive the public. For your suggestion to be true, the entire peer review process would also have to be a conspiracy to deceive. I simply can't imaging WANTING to disbelieve something as bad that. Sorry.

@chipleeiii , Sorry to bring you down to Earth. AGWers are the ones who said that hurricanes frequency and intensity would increase because Global Warming. It hasn't. On the contrary, the record for the strongest hurricane remains at Galveston, year 1900! That's not weather but climate... AGWers predicetd the world would heat 4.5ºC+ by 2020, but temperatures are in reverse, going down, sea levels and surface temps going down, ... I hope these odd things aren't making you nervous. :-)

@chipleeiii : I guess you are referring to the fantastic whitewash performed by 5 "independent investigations" -where no critic was nominated to form part of the allegedly "independent" bodies. You can decieve yourself all you want, but don't think you can fool an intelligent person with at least three full functioning neurons. BTW, how did you like the first pre-Halloween snow in the USA since 1886? Or 2332 consecutive days w/o a major hurricane making a landfall in the US? :-)
