  • A terrorist is someone who incites violence for political gain; no one (even NATA and the Pentagon agree) that WikiLeaks has never been harmed. I am really proud of Julian Assange, I never thought WikiLeaks would have of got good; donate servers to them! A leaked document obtained by the New York Times, showed that the Pentagon knows no one was hurt. CableGate showed things like a secret war in Yemen; which I doubt anyone could of guessed precisely.

  • @deskwizardry Hah, if you define terrorist like that, then any politician that uses tax money to further their career is a terrorist.

  • You're right, calling it a terrorist organization isn't accurate, but maybe it does contribute to terrorism somehow (I don't know if this is true or not, I'm just saying it might be). The question here in my opinion is: are any of us informed enough about all the secret national security stuff and the activities of terrorists around the world to be able to say whether revealing certain information to the general public IS or IS NOT a threat to national security?

  • @derwos The question asked was "Is Wikileaks a Terrorist Organistion?". If you say that indirectly aiding terrorism makes you a terrorist, then you might as well call heroin users terrorists too, or the people that first chartered the 9/11 flights. You could call the US Government terrorists for giving arms to those who are now terrorists during the cold war. Since the US populace funded those arms through taxes, why not call them terrorists too? How many degrees of separation makes a terrorist?

  • @SpeakMouthWords I'm not saying Wikileaks IS a terrorist organization. I don't think they are. but maybe they COULD be helping terrorism, maybe they don't KNOW that the stuff they're releasing could have bad repercussions. which could be considered a good reason to stop what they're doing (true with heroin too). personally i don't even know, maybe they're not a threat at all.

  • @derwos Ok, but I never said in this video anything about whether they should continue or not continue what they're doing, or even bring up that question at all. So this discussion isn't very relevant to the video. However, if these leaks could help prevent war, then that is a death toll that far far outweighs deaths caused by terrorists. The number of people killed by coalition troops in Iraq and Afghanistan exceeds one million. 9/11 killed 2995. Maybe terrorism is the lesser evil.

  • @SpeakMouthWords Exactly; so who is the terrorists. I also find it interesting that politicians are illegally asking for Julian Assange's assassination; which is illegal. Sorry for my English.
