In volume one we see historic films of the railways of Queensland like never before...
Widescreen 16:9 enables a high resolution digital presentation of some of the rarest and most interesting films ever captured.
Trams and trains at Dutton Park, STEAM, DIESEL and early electric passenger trains.
We take a very rare trip aboard a PB15 hauled train along the now long closed government tramway to Barakula.
We see Central Station throughout the years including the demolition of the Old awning above the platforms & the complete reconstruction of the station. We transition from Steam, to Diesel and onto Electrification.
We view Brisbane Suburban Workings with scenes on the Beenleigh, Ipswich, Caboolture and the Cleveland lines.
There are Standard Gauge Workings including the final Brisbane Limited and The first XPT. Theres numerous scenes in the Gladstone area of Sunlanders, Special Electrification commissioning trains, rare EMU services, Diesel hauled EMU movements, & regular coal workings and Stock trains. Various classes haul Fisherman Islands and the closed Brisbane Valley Branch. Theres scenes at Bundaberg and Cooroy. Steam Hauled goods and Diesel Hauled cattle trains the the Abatoirs branch at Cannon Hill and Coal trains at Swanbank. We then take a journey aboard 1901 and travel a regular service to Kilcoy, all the way from Caboolture, filmed using multiple cameras including driver views and exterior shots of the Rail Motor.
We travel to Bowen Locomotive Depot in 1957 and witness the demolition and reconstruction of the Bowen Hills Tunnel and then C17s operating regular freight services on the Kingaroy Branch!

This dvd was released in November 2009 and features footage from 7 different sources, none of which are Brian. Brian's (Mother Witte's) A10 DVD will be released next week. There should be a trailer for it before then. Some of his footage will appear in the Next TWIW volume.
