  • @inkenyo because people will still buy tickets! aye.

  • Uh... why???? Why would you try?

  • Ironically, there's been a musical adaptation of Gone With the Wind that the Japanese Takarazuka Revue's done since 1977 that was a huge hit and continued to be up till 2004 when they stopped reviving it. But I guess they don't count as newsworthy, even if they are quite huge and their entire cast is female.

  • Sorry to hear it failed. I do know the least that any musical needs not to fail is one memorable, original and highly melodic number. If GWTW had one, it never got to me.

  • I saw this during previews and really enjoyed it. Don't quite know where all the bad reviews of it came from - I know it was pretty long, but then the film's fairly long and the book covers a heck of a lot. I wasn't expecting much from it, but Darius was epic as Rhett and the whole production was incredible.

  • Is there still a line for those NOT watching this ... I'd like to get in it NOW!

  • I've read the book twice, I saw the movie at least 30 times so I could say thay I love the story. I've seen the musical just before it was closed and I think they did a great job. Maybe It could have been better but for a fan of the book and the movie it was a brillinat experience. Very happy I went to see this show. Darius really was a good Clark Gable :)

  • That's fine though. I would of still loved to have watched it even if it got bad press.

  • becaue the book is probably the best historical fiction/romance novel EVER maybe?

  • and the movie 100 times better than this
