  • Oh wow! I just saw the DVD and I was kind of disapointed that New Order didn't sing "Ceremony". I didn't know that they did but it wasn't included in the DVD 316. Why oh why?!?

  • Yeah, I was at the Reading 98 gig and "Ceremony" got a fantastic reaction from the crowd - I was gutted when they left it off the DVD.

There were also 2 other tracks which didn't make the "316" DVD: "Love Will Tear Us Apart" (again, a classic performance, so why leave it off?); and "Confusion" (my least favourite NO track, so not really missed).

  • GREAT

  • the fat cunts tone deaf and by the sound of it.... so are you, ya fucking retard.

  • shut up you "DICKHEAD"

To even attempt to follow Curtis on such a classic song is suicide, but Summner had a go , and did more than O.K.

  • can he sing...can he fuck.

  • No one will ever be able to do Ceremony like Ian Curtis did!!!!

  • i stood at the alter of new order beginning with the first time they came to San Francisco - and I do agree with your Dud comment buy when they play their old stuff and I get glimpses of their youth and the reasons I used to dig their music so much...I can almost forgive them...

  • Yeh kinda agree, but shakey, but Nov 2005 brixton was pretty spot on very good performance.

  • I personally don't like Ian's vocal on Ceremony and it's not because of the sound quality. My favourite version is New Order's original, their very first single.

  • I agree with the best live comment. Reading, in my opinion, was the last great New Order concert. Everything after 1998 was a dud.

  • For the longest time, this was the only Joy Division cover the band would ever play, for Ian's demon was too near. The live version on JD's "Still" album is the best version hands down. It is powerful and sad
