Singer Facundo Cabral Shot Dead in Guatemala -- Argentinian Gunned Down Near Capital City

Argentine singer, songwriter and novelist Facundo Cabral was shot and killed early Saturday, July 9th, 2011. His Range Rover was reportedly ambushed as it made its way to Guatemala's main airport just south of Guatemala City. We at CNM express our condolences to Cabral's family, his friends, the people of Argentina and all of Cabral's fans and admirers throughout Latin America and the world.
