This video illustrates the stabilisation effect of my work-in-progress-application "Stereo-Deshaker". It's basically Gunnar Thalin's marvellous Deshaker, but synchronized for parallel deshaking of two stereoscopic clips.
Yes, there are a number of options to eliminate the borders - i didn't mask them in this video to better show the way the stabilisation works: you can see how the videoframe moves and twists while the image inside stays steady. The easiest way is to crop & zoom the stabilized video, but Deshaker also can use earlier / later frames to fill up the border areas.
