Change [A Nelena Story] Episode 5

That night with Selena.
Selena – (looking in her closet thinking – what should I wear?... this? No… OH THIS!!! NO! Why do I care?!?! He is coming over to study! GEEESH Selena get a grip! He could NEVER like you… and he is an ASSHOLE anyways!! But then her thoughts are interrupted)
Zac – He Lenny… whats up?
Selena – (thinks – damn it!) (turns around smiling innocently) Nothing, why do you ask?
Zac – (sits on her bed) Because, you are going through that closet like you have a date....
Selena – What?!?! No I don’t have a date!
Zac – promise?
Selena – promise… (says really fast and kinda quiet) butnickiscomingovertowriteareport ….
Zac – (looks at her quickly) what was that?
Selena – you don’t wanna know!
Zac – (stands up and goes over to her) Yes I do what did you say? (being protective)
Selena – (throws her hands up and sighs then goes over to her bed) Nick… he is coming over to write a report for Science OKAY! (plops down on her bed) you happy now?
Zac – Completely ecstatic!!! (sarcastic) How could you?
Selena – (looks up at him) How could I what?
Zac – invite him over here?!!?
Selena – because we have to work on a report!
Zac – But why don’t you just do it yourself?
Selena – Oh now you want him taking advantage of me??!?!
Zac – WHAT?!!? NO!!!
Selena – well then!... here I will put it this way so you can understand!
Zac – whats that suppose to mean?
Selena – that you cant run my life!!! Okay so here goes! I can see that you want me to go over to HIS house with NO one there so he REALLY can take advantage of me! At least here I have you! But I guess you want him taking advantage of me! Good to know now GET OUT!
Zac – (take aback and doesn’t know what to say)
Selena – NOW ZAC!!!
The doorbell rings.
Selena – That’s Nick, I have to go!
Zac – Selena wait…
Selena – No! Okay, just… leave me alone! (runs downstairs and opens the door with tears in her eyes)
Nick – Hey (smiling)
Selena – (tries to smile and wipping her tears)
Nick – whats wrong? (worried)
Selena – why do you care?
Nick – (looks away and whispers) because I do…
Selena – what?
Nick – Just… tell me?
Selena – (gets more tears in her eyes and gives in and just hugs him tightly)
Nick – (surprised and hugs back attempting to be nice)
Selena – (calms down pulls away wipping her tears) Why are you being nice to me?
Nick - …..

With Demi. While ALL of that was happening.
Demi – (what should I wear… hm… is this a date?... or is it not… huh beats me!)
There is a knock on the door.
Demi – (answers it) Hey (smiles)
Joe – (smiles back) Hey Demi (hugs her) How are you?
Demi – Eh, you know
Joe – (laughs) no I don’t that’s why I asked
Demi – right! I knew that! (laughs)
Joe – (laughs) So you ready to go?
Demi – (smiles) yeah! Where are we going?
Joe – somewhere.
Demi – where?
Joe – it’s a secret!
Demi – But… this isn’t a date… is it?
Joe- (winks at her playfully)
Demi – (blushes) oh… Well… okay…
Joe – (smiles) what you don’t want to go out with me?
Demi – (doesn’t want to make him mad) No! That’s not what I meant its just..
Joe- Chill Dems… I am just kidding.
Demi – (smiles and sighs) I knew that!
Joe – no you didn’t!
Demi – yeah I did!... I was just…
Joe – (nods) testing me?
Demi – YEAH! THAT! (laughs)
Joe – Okay close your eyes!
Demi – what?
Joe – just do it!
Demi – (sighs) fine! (laughs and closes her eyes) Okay there closed!
Joe – (takes a deep breath) Okay open!
Demi – (opens her eyes and gasps) Joe…
