The NDI OptoTrak portable CMM consists of an optical tracker that has the ability to track infra-red LEDs on a number of different devices. It can perform precision probing of parts right on the shop floor, or utilize a 3D non-contact laser scanner to perform inspection or reverse engineering.

Another feature that makes the NDI OptoTrak system unique is the ability to track items in motion. This allows us to track how 3D and 6 degrees of freedom measurement changes over time. Simply attach the targets to your object of interest and gain the ability to measure vibration, velocity, acceleration, and deformation. The system can also use the targets to perform robot verification and robot measurement for those repeat processes where an operator isn't an option.
