If your a truly good drummer , it doesnt matter what kind of kit you have , you should be able to make any kit sound good

I think yamaha's sell for $999ish. But sometimes you can get a good deal. I'm switching from Pearl To Yamaha soon.

I think, yamaha, tama, gretsch, pearl, Pork pie, Etc... Their great! ThEy Have their own charater so it depends upon your own taste and music. Even if its the best Drums set if you dont know what you are doing it will be for nothing, it will not sound good if the drummer is not good. I heard a real good drummer using a cheap drumset but still its nice to listen and I can feel the real groove...

Exactly what Im saying. Im not gonna sit hear and tell you pearl lick balls, just becasue I think that (which I dont). I have a jordison sig. snare(one of the best sounding snares ive heard/owned in my life!) an EX 18' tom and they have both served me well to date. My only complaint, as I said before, is the price........Also yamahas do sound good(mine do at least) they sound better than some pearl kits that were twice the price.......but sound is an opinion I guess LOL
