The company I work for does loads of business for clients in China & India, but I was shocked to find out that none of our black employees are allowed on work teams for these clients.
My boss explained that it’s essentaily because the global marketing of rappers like 50 Cent & Jay-Z has been so successful that all black people are seen as gun-toting pimps & gangsters by Chinese & Indians- all around the world, in fact. It seems a pity that this ‘success’ actually holds black people back.
